My "wii sports" doesn't work

Problem

what happened is i just bought a new wii and when i put in wii sports and go to the disc channel it either it says unable to read disc check operation manual for trouble shooting or it tells me to eject the game turn my wii of and check the manual for help trouble shooting P.S. please take as emergency it was a birthday gift from my parents and yes im 12

Solution

  1. There is many reasons why the disk may not be working, it could be broken and you have'ft to buy a new one - but before doing all that, take the disk out, whipe it with a piece of cloth for smudges, dirt, and scratches, if still not working try rising it with water, and then drying it (Do NOT put in wet) then if it still doesn't work - you have'ft to buy a new one, or try talking to microsoft for refunds, if microsoft doesn't refund you you are with out that game, or you purchase a new one.
  2. its really funny and awkward and kinda annoying but my wii sports dont work either and i just got it TODAY i swear its really annoyng cuz ive been to like three pages and all of them were about wii sports not bloody working god do they sell faulty wii sports on purpose or something
  3. had them send us a brand new disc and tried it yesterday, it doesn't work either. I think it's a problem with the game in general, the wii fit disc is fabulous

Wii Remote Control Stopped Working

Problem

I have a new problem with my wii remote it stopped sending signals, the light works by the remote seem to have no effect. I have new batteries and until now everything worked fine, I have my Wii console for 3 months.

Solution

  1. The problem where the lights would flash on and then go off happened to me also.

I pressed the 'sync' button on the wii remote and the red 'sync' button on the console at the same time for about 10 seconds. Let go of the buttons and then the lights should flash and light 1 on the remote came up!!!
  2. My Wii controller was jammed like everyone else's. I could navigate the menu but could not swing or bowl or play any of the games. I gave the controller a hard flick... almost like you are cracking a bullwhip. I did it on all 4 sides of the controller to be safe since you don"t know how the accelerometer is jammed up. I also resynced the controller just to be safe. Presto... back in business.
  3. Disconnect the power cord and put it back in again. Worked A Treat!
  4. Yea, I followed the Instructions by Nintendo...I unplugged my Wii's power cord and then re-synced my remotes...no problem and I saved myself about $80.00
  5. Check your sensorbar, take a digital camera or a celphone camera and look at it while the wii is on, if you see some light dots the sensor bar is working fine if not, your remote is probably broken.
Your remote seems to be allright cause the lights your mentioning i take it is the small leds on the remote.
The sensor bar simply outputs IR(infra red)light which is caught by the remote and then the remote talks back tothe wii via bluetooth.
If the sensor bar is busted don´t worry, ican help you there too.
If so wirte me and i will explain it too you..
  6. what appears to have happened is the sensor within the mote has dislodged and been moved out of alignment the smacking both sides works but its only a stop gap solution, you need to open up the mote and tac some solder onto the connections, this will prevent it from going out again, also check the sensor bar is not loose as the cable from the sensor bar can sometimes become loose if it's moved around a lot.

Nintendo Wii Console Wii / No Power

Problem

Try to play my Wii today and can't get any power, I've messed with the plug
moved it to another room, Only 5 mo. old still fairly new unit how's come I can't get any power.

Solution

  1. or you can remove all of the plugs from the console: AC, remote sensor, AV. This is important: You must also unplug the AC from the electrical outlet. Then wait 45 seconds, then plug the AC adapter back into the wall and your console. Power On.
  2. I called the help desk...95% of the time it's because there was a power surge and the fuse inside the AC Adapter shuts the unit down as not to get damaged. If you unplug the power cord from the unit and the socket and let it sit for approximately 2 minutes, the fuse will reset itself and it should work. If not you're looking at parts repair.
  3. i unplugged EVERYTHING and left it there by itself for a few minutes in the dark just sitting there and then i repluged everything and it came back on! :-D
  4. I Had the same problem.....I unplugged everything for 1 minute and then plugged back in and it worked
  5. I tried a couple of different variants of this and found the only one to work was:
    - Unplug all controller, memory cards etc while the ac was still connected
    - Unplug sensor and TV connections.
    - Unplug power from socket and then remove ac from wii
    - Leave to stand for 1 minute.
    - Plug a/c back into wii and then into power socket and turn on power. Like magic the stand by button should light up.
    - Plug all other bits it and your back gaming again...
  6. you could just hold power and reset at the same time, worked for me

Parental controls [ password forgot]

Problem

i forgot my secret question and my password.

Solution

  1. Go to http://wii.marcansoft.com/parental.psp and enter your 8 digit confirmation number there. When you do so, make sure that whatever today's date is, your Wii is set to that date. (And select Today's date from one of the 3 possible choices.)
  2. This also happened to me! Go to parental controls on the wii setting. When it asks for your pin press I forgot and then it will ask you you question also press I forgot. Then a screen will come up telling you your confirmation number. Now call Nintendo customer service and they will give you the Master key. Type the master key pin into the mast key box that will appear after the confirmation key notice will appear.
  3. All you must do is go to the site above and click I Forgot for both boxes, type in the Confirmation number, and it will give you a master code that will reset the controls. I did it and it worked.

Wii not reading any of my disk?

Problem

worked fine yesterday but today nothing. tried several disks and nothing. all else is fine on console?

Solution

  1. try openin it up an cleanin the lens with rubbing alcohol
  2. Make sure you have inserted the disk properly. Remember: shiny side facing left. If that does not work, send the wii back to Nintendo for repair.
  3. put game cube disc in then take out insert wii disc. believe its problem with flipper switch

Remotes not synchronising

Problem

went to play the wii, turned it on as usual and turned the remotes on, at first thought it might have something to do with the remote batteries.
after changing the batteries on both remotes it still wouldnt pair with the wii so i tried to re synch the remotes.
neither remote will synch with the wii all that happens is the four blue lights continue to flash constantly for the entire time that you have the buttons depressed on the wii and remote.
anyone have any ideas what this problem is and how i can resolve it please.

Solution

  1. The solution is remove the batteries from the remote, then hold the sync button on the console for 15 secs then replace the batteries in the remaote and hold the the console sync button and the sync button on the remote for 3-4 seconds and you will see the corresponding led for which controler it is come on This also works with additional remotes
  2. i had this problem
remember when syncing that you press both at the same time, just once and then wait.
if you have at least one remote syncing wii sports may help.
  3. You need to connect them after your game loads up.When game is loaded ,press the "home" button.down the bottom it will say "Wii settings".click that then push "disconnect".After that, push buttons 1 and 2 on your Wii remote and other remotes you want to connect and when they are connected,go to top and close window so you get back into game.hopefully that works!
  4. Batteries out of remotes, sync on console for 15 seconds and then normal syne worked for me...thank you so much!
