We just got a new Gateway computer with Vista on it, and are trying to install the lexmark 5470 printer to it. It keeps coming up can't communicate. We have reinstalled it 3 times, but it still won't work. We checked the firewall and it is okay there. It is set as the default printer and everything seems ok. Help.
Solution
- I had the same problem when I got vista. First goto lexmark's web site and try to download the vista driver. It did not work for me I had to contact lexmark and they sent me a new driver disc for vista. I have had no problem with it since
- downloaded files from lexmark, program un-zips ok then freezes on select your method...eg cable for printer or network.
