Lexmark x5490 Right /left cartridge incorrect

Problem

Bought the correct cartridges for my Lexmark and the printer is reading that they are wrong. Tried powering down and re inserting tried changing to another pack tried all hints in the manual still not working can you help

Solution

1. no worries, check for up to date printer drivers here
2. my experience is the cartridges have a chip in them that prevents it from working after it is empty, you can refill it but it will always show as used empty cartridge, I suggest everyone raise hell with lexmark for this.
