Wii will do everything but it won't play games...

Problem

When I click on the game icon on the upper left hand side of the wii main page, my wii tries to load the game but after a couple of seconds of a black screen my wii goes back to the wii main page. No error messages, it just won't work. Has anyone else ran into this before? If so what is the fix?

Solution

1. check you cd for scratches and finger prints.
2. Have received new console from Nintendo & intially had same problem again. However, when trying WITHOUT controller re-charger attached, games work perfectly. DOn't understand why, but no longer using re-charger!
